The two-wheeler and riding culture in India has changed over the decades. Where initially people looked at two-wheelers as just a mode of commute, we now have a market that appreciates not just commuter motorcycles but also superbikes and scooters. Many international brands are entering the Indian market for the very same reason. Some people have even imported bikes and cars that are officially not available in our market. One such rare scooter - the Italjet Dragster 300 - has now come up for sale.
The video has been shared by Sarvaiya Motors on their Instagram page. The scooter seen here may look like a stripped-down and heavily modified scooter, but it is actually not a scooter that was officially available in India. This is the Italjet Dragster 300.
The Italjet scooter is not like the usual scooters that we see on our roads. It is a performance-oriented scooter. It wouldn’t be wrong to call it a performance scooter. The Bologna-based Italjet offers this scooter in many countries but, sadly, India is not one of them.
The scooter seen here is up for sale and the video mentions that this is a 2025-manufactured and 2025-registered unit. The scooter looks unique, and we can clearly see the trellis frame along with twin-pod headlamps, a minimal-looking front apron with an air vent, exposed handlebar and so on.
Just like the design, the scooter gets a very unique single-seat setup. The footboard is split, and we see a fuel filler cap in the centre. The scooter has an 11-litre capacity fuel tank. It is finished in a pale blue shade with red stickers, which give it a sporty look.
The scooter comes with several features like an independent steering system, single hydraulic shock at the rear, hydraulic disc brakes at both front and rear with Brembo calipers, ABS, 12-inch chunky-looking tyres at the front and 13-inch units at the rear.
It is powered by a 278 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC engine that generates 23.8 Bhp and 26 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a CVT gearbox.
Coming to the scooter, it is registered in Arunachal Pradesh and is currently with its first owner. As per the seller, the scooter has only done 460 km and it gets an Akrapovic exhaust. It is currently located at the dealership on Mahim West Cadel Road, Mumbai.
The asking price for this rare Italjet Dragster 300 scooter is Rs 15 lakh. A brand-new Dragster 300 scooter in Thailand costs around 289,000 Thai Baht, which roughly translates to around Rs 8.17 lakh INR. The owner of this scooter probably got it imported and would have ended up paying double the actual cost of the scooter. This is likely the reason behind this premium pricing.
This is not your regular scooter and if you like what you saw in the video, you can get in touch with the seller on 7298464646. Interested buyers can check the seller’s profile by clicking here.
